This weeks (49) show: R.I.P. fallen soldiers!

In the past weeks the reggae fraternity had to digest 2 big losses. On the 23rd of november, Barry Llewelyn (left), co-founder of the mighty vocal trio 'The Heptones' passed away at age 64 in Kingston Public Hospital in Jamaica. Sadly, last saturday the 3rd of december we lost another giant in the industry: label owner and producer Philip 'Fattis' Burrell (right), from 'Xterminator' fame, slipped into a coma after a stroke at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI), and unfortunately didn't recover.
On behalf of SOUND ARMADA we send out our sincere condolances to family and friends of these 2 persons who brought so much joy, wisdom and pleasure through their music and productions. As a tribute, this week 2 hours of Heptones tunes and Xterminator productions. Rest in peace...

5 years and counting calls for a celebration!

There are 2 things for certain when it comes to reggae & dancehall music in Arnhem: on Tuesdays ofcourse SOUND ARMADA RADIO with yours truly and ofcourse on Sunday, Souljahs Sound holds it down at the Street Café in Arnhem. They've been doing that for 5 years now which calls for a celebration.

On the 27th of november it's anniversary time with guest selectors DJ Wakko and SOUND ARMADA, but a nice surprise addition to the line up is none other than JOGGO!
